seeds & bridges began curating events in Hull, East Yorkshire in 2006 combining explorative music with elements of the wider sonics arts. each event was held in a different space in the city, creating new audiences for work at the forefront of various fields. the ethos was always to allow the audience access to the widest range of interesting and expansive sound, created by artists of national and international standing.
after the 2011 series the curators decided to take a break.
Hull's transformation during 2017 has led to the idea of once again putting the city back on the explorative sound map of Europe, hopefully reviving its history as a centre for the sound arts (* the first sonic arts course in the UK was started at the Hull School of Art on Anlaby Road & the city has a long history of involvement with experimental music)
